Debrief

After your team has filed your mission report, you must be debriefed. This means you will give a presentation about your mission to your superiour officers and fellow agents. You must:

  • Speak for at least 3-4 minutes per person

  • Include an introduction of your team

  • Discuss each stage of your mission in detail

  • Include a variety of visual aids - e.g. Powerpoint displays, large charts, photos, maps, posters etc.

  • Dress appropriately - "Clothes maketh the spy"

 

You must choose how do divide presentation between your members

 

You must NOT:

  • Read from a script - a good memory is essential for a secret agent

  • Directly repeat the information from your report - more detail is required

  • Allow this information to fall into enemy hands

 

The debrief is worth 15 points towards your final grade. Of these, 10 points will be awarded individually. Remember, a good secret agent is always READI:

  • Range - Technical Vocabulary

  • Ease - Fluency and memorisation

  • Attitude - Professionalism

  • Delivery - Intonation and projection

  • Interaction - With the audience, and use of the supporting material

1 point will be deducted for each 30 seconds outside of time limit.

The remaining 5 points will be awarded to the team as a whole. These points will be awarded for:

  • Teamwork - Individual presentations form a cohesive whole

  • Logical flow - Introduction, details, conclusion

  • Research - Informative, accurate, and interesting

  • Visual aids - Good quality, clear and relevant

  • Visual aids - Well utilised for maximum impact
